Daniel Factor graduated with a B. A. in Biochemistry from Hiram College. His undergraduate research included purifying proteins responsible for mutable collagenous tissue in sea slugs, annotation work on several microbial genomes, screening for gluconeogenic activity in Agrobacterium, and phenotyping phospholipase mutants in Arabidopsis. His current work focuses on the epigenetic and transcriptomic profiling of cell fate transitions.
