Lili studied Biology at Case Western Reserve University and hopes to later pursue an MD/PhD degree. She spent four years in our lab mainly working on a project that involves using gene modulation to develop a potential therapeutic for Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD). She was also involved in clinical research at the UH Center for Human Genetics. Her primary research interests include the use of stem cells and gene correction to develop therapies for genetic disorders. She is currently working at the New York Stem Cell Foundation in the laboratory of Dr. Valentina Fossati.
